Hi! I’m Lucy.
Chardonnay and vintage finds lover, founder of the handmade jewelry brand bel monili *and* your new guide to making your handmade business WORK online.
It’s funny to be talking about top digital productivity apps for a “handmade business”, but here we are!
I know there are a TON of apps out there! That’s why I put together my favorites. Give one or two of them a try and see how they can help you manage your day.
Whether you’re selling in person or trying to create an online craft business, these apps will make your life SO much easier.
Let’s go!

Trello offers an intuitive visual approach to project management. We makers can create boards for different projects, add task cards, and move them through various stages, ensuring a clear overview of our process.
Trello has a free version that works perfectly for our businesses. I love using it to plan out my production schedules and marketing. As a creative, I tend to prefer visual management apps, and Trello delivers just that.
You know how you get an idea for a new product while waiting to check out at the grocery store?
Evernote is a versatile note-taking app that’s perfect for storing ideas, making to-do lists, and collecting inspiration. It can be invaluable for jotting down sudden bursts of creativity.
Add it to your phone and you’ll always have a virtual notebook that you can use to keep all of your ideas.
If you’ve been here for a while, you know just how much I LOVE Canva.
Crafting a unique brand identity often requires stunning visuals. Canva offers a ton of templates and tools that empower you to create professional-looking graphics for marketing and social media.
Make your Pins, Instagram, Facebook and Email marketing graphics easily and quickly. And there’s a free version that is so robust, it can do a LOT. But I do recommend opting for the pro version if you can afford it.
With Google Workspace you can set up a gmail account that uses your custom URL. You can house every document and spreadsheet you might need.
You can create forms for your customers to fill out, such as signing up for your email list or filling out a survey.
Most importantly, use Workspace to hold all your photos and videos, so you can access them from anywhere.
Honestly, Workspace is THE “app” that I use on a daily basis, and I think it’s a must for any business owner.
I have used the Pomodoro technique and Batch work to help me stay on track with my business. I also teach this way of working to my students.
Focus Keeper will give you timed work sessions so you can get more done in less time. It’s a free tool that will help you stay on task.
Crafting success in the handmade business world involves more than just creating beautiful products. Efficiency, organization, and strategic use of technology play a pivotal role.
These productivity apps are tailored to simplify the diverse aspects of running a handmade business, helping you focus more on your craft while efficiently managing the business side of your passion.
