Hi! I’m Lucy.
Chardonnay and vintage finds lover, founder of the handmade jewelry brand bel monili *and* your new guide to making your handmade business WORK online.
I wanted to go to the Alt Summit conference ever since I learned of its existence (probably around 2018-ish). But to be honest with you, it felt “out of my league”. Alt is where all the “cool” kids in the creative-sphere go.

In March 2020, I was at Midwest Craft Con (where I will be once again this week, this time as a speaker!) My friend Jeanne said that she wanted to go to Alt Summit in 2021. I was excited, but scared. BUT, I knew I wanted to go so I bucked up and bought the early bird ticket!
Well, we all know what happened next. Everything in the world was canceled, including all 2021 (and subsequently all 2022). They refunded my ticket, but I knew that the instant the next Summit was announced, I was going to be IN.
When early bird tickets for Alt Summit 2023 went on sale at 1:00 p.m. on October 7th, I was lightning fast. I might have been the first to get my ticket, lol! My “you’re coming to Alt!” email arrived at 1:02 p.m.
Looking back at this experience, I can stay without a doubt that attending Alt was one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. Both personally and business-wise! I loved every minute of it and I can’t wait to go back again next year!
I encourage you to leap from your comfort zone every once in a while. Especially when it’s to get a chance to meet and create with others. After being isolated for years due to Covid, I think we can all use a little more community.
If you’re ready to take that leap and bring your craft business into the online world, I invite you to review my course – Get Online, Grow Online. It’s open now for enrollment, and you will get EVERYTHING you need to create a blooming handmade business online.
Doors close April 7th, so take a moment to see if this might be the right fit for you.
After running bel monili (my handmade jewelry business) for 10 years, I launched Bloom in 2019 to create a community where handmade business owners could learn, grow, and support each other in this wild venture of small business ownership. Welcome to Bloom!
